The pursuit of development by humanity has led to significant and ongoing environmental degradation, endangering both current and future life. To address this issue, there is a need for alternative approaches to meeting the country's wood requirements, mainly through afforestation and plantation forestry programs.
Deforestation is a critical global challenge and is particularly severe in Nigeria. The country's high levels of poverty and illiteracy are directly linked to the current state of environmental pollution and degradation. The lack of awareness and interest among the poor and illiterate population leads to reckless environmental behaviour, exacerbating ecological problems and perpetuating a cycle of poverty. Nigeria faces various environmental issues, including desertification, flood, and erosion, which are signs of climate change.
To address these challenges, we at Aerobic recognise the importance of sustainable development and have initiated a program called "Tree, the Solution." We aim to provide one million tree seedlings for planting and fostering by communities and schools, particularly in areas affected by floods, erosion, and desertification. We offer discounted or free seedlings of fruits, vegetables, ornamentals, and forage to encourage rural communities, particularly women, to engage in tree planting. The program aims to increase food production, boost the economy, and mitigate the effects of climate change.
We provide the trees and plant them on your land, all for free, as long as you have 100 acres of fallow land free of rocks. We select suitable tree types based on your location, soil composition, and climate. We aim to grow crop circle tracts of trees that absorb carbon from the atmosphere and protect native species that may be endangered or threatened.
